Seeing as how Connecticut is prime cruising territory, you need some appropro music for high speeds. How about "Song 2" by Blur or "Ready Steady Go" by Paul Oakenfold? If you happen to be stuck at a red light next to someone eager to share their musical distaste, I find "Woo Hoo" by the 5,6,7,8's at high volume to be effective (c)rap repellant.

You wouldn't want to know what I would suggest. It would probably bore you to death, but I love my James Taylor, Elton John and Bob Segar.

I think the conversation you overheard was great. As a mum I always found it best to answer questions as soon as they were raised rather than defer and possibly forget. Particularly on a subject as delicate as sex, it would be easy to give the wrong impression that it is a "dirty" and "secret" subject if you put the child off. I applaud that dad (although it is fairly typical of kids to always ask at the most inopportune time).

More good driving music when you have a friend in the car: "Crash" by Dave Matthews; "Dead Man's Curve" by Jan and Dean; "Only the Good Die Young" by Billy Joel; "Life In The Fast Lane" by The Eagles. For the singalong factor you need Jimmy Buffet, especially "Why Don't We Get Drunk (And...)".
