Well, it's teaching them a valuable lesson, because quite honestly -- I'm always fatter in the afternoon than in the morning. Everything's gone & settled in the morning. By the afternoon, that's massive amounts of peanut butter, fighting with the size of the stomach.

This will make you jealous...In my son's room, they are (we the parents actually) are appreciating the teacher all week with a plant one day, some other stuff the other days, culminating on friday with a gift certificate tree...with $95.00 worth of things like Starbucks and Bath and Body Works cards on it. We truly appreciate this woman...all these little second graders and the boys from hell thrown in the mix. In my class, nada so far, although the PTA is throwing all of us a nice Mexican Fiesta tomorrw afternoon and a Happy Hour (yes!) on friday.
But gifts aside, you know they appreciate you. I can tell all the way from here :)

We got flowers. But if it makes you feel any better, last year we got flowers AND a gift certificate to the movies..
That reminds me...I need to bring the flowers home tomorrow so I can enjoy them over the weekend...
