To be fair, the Rolling Stones are a driving hazard.

That child sounds like I used to be when I was little. Maybe she's my inner child reencarnated. Hmm, makes you think, eh? Oh, about this music thing...I don't think I'd even go to school if it wasn't for Wind Symphony and my band director (who doubles as my father figure). Music is probably the most important part of my education, other than a few exceptions. I do think that elementary school teachers really need to teach more about reading music and singing the correct way, rather than having 25 children screaming "Mary Had a Little Lamb." Anyway...long comment. Huzzah!

In my house the kids always say, "thinking hurts too much!" Go you making more than the other teachers. I always knew you were worth it. :) How rude for her to mention it though. I would have neener neener neener'd her, but I'm immature that way.

WHy does she know how much you make? And she chose to use this information against you. That's exactly why they shouldn't know... Speaking of magnets, I keep crashing computers. And iPods. And phones!!! I think I have an overactive magnetic field.

There is good reason to keep payroll under lock and key and only the PR dept. should know. In my last job, I never faulted the guy who was getting 800.00 per week to stand around and flap his jaw...if he can get that...good for him. You can always choose to negotiate for more yourself or leave....as I did in my job quest that ended up with me making a lot more money. No one should be faulted for getting what they deserve or what they can negotiate for.

Shouldn't your salaries be private? Sheesh. It seems like there would be so many creative things to do with music, from classical to rock. Your music teacher is just too lazy.

Music teachers don't think to teach their kids about modern music. The only things I remember doing in music class were learning the notes in treble clef (not bass or alto or tenor... just treble) and singing Christmas songs around Christmastime. Oh, and we learned to play songs on the glockenspiels and xylophones. Those things were big in elementary school music.
