In reference to the 'redundant' thing- technically, wouldn't calling someone anything for a [fill in the political affiliation] be redundant? Because there are (smart/pain-in-the-ass/funny/good-natured/bigoted/anything) people of every political preference. Unless you happen to life in a universe different from mine, where every stereotype is true and all people perfectly fit one, specific mold. Sounds like a boring place, really...
