A great big Texas would be pretty cool. A great big Houston-Austin hybrid would be even better!

my parents took Boozer and I out to eat and we had this discussion about rastafarians. The fruit market near us has a few white hippie people with MATTED hair. It's just one big icky mess and then they wear the knitted caps. They're not nice dredlocks. It looks like a nest. Anyway, smoking is dumb and it's a thing. Sometimes I smell a cigarette and miss it, but on the whole, I don't miss the way I was not breathing well.

My sister moved to Australia. It is an awsome country with very very freindly people but very expensive to live in. Because it is a socialist country, their taxes (just federal...not state...no social security) is about 30 percent. An old beater car costs what a new one costs here and their 2 bedroom handyman special "cottage" just sold for 650,000.00. Wages are a bit higher....but not enough to make up for the expense and the taxes. They get by with alot less than we have here. However....sissy is very happy there and their healthcare system, although socialized is awsome...it works there because they have alot less population. My sis is thinking about becoming a Aussie citizen.

I also think of Australia as a big Texas. But I have a girlfriend that lives in Tasmania and she discribes it as something similar as Maine. I told her -honey I ain't ever seen lemon trees grow in Maine. As for the dreadlocks on white boys...ick! Plus dreads stink. I do like the sound of bagpipes...I'd of taken that instrument up, but do to my one pack a day habit for more years than you have been alive, I don't think I'd have the lung compacity for that.

I live in Canada and have been to Australia....it is very similar to Canada politically and legally. The geography varies in one area to the next. I don't think you'd want to settle in Australia if you were a woman because they don't see women with the same sense of "equality" as North America....trust me - ask around the men there are very chauvinistic. Besides some of the male population's tendency towards domestic violence the people in general are wonderfully friendly, the country is phenomenal to see - truly magnificent...but it's a 20 hour flight - long, long, long time on a cramped plane. Anyhow I'm a proud Canadian and hopefully Bush won't cause to much irreversible damage over the next 4 years...(LOL)

The use of "LOL" is usually a good sign of someone being "DAS" (dumb as shit). What is it about principled leadership that scares the world so much?
