Au contraire, you make perfect sense. Have the Powers That Be toured the school and questioned you teachers on what is needed? Or do they simply bow to the voice of implied authority? As a fellow teacher (currently "retired"), you have my sincerest empathy. I began in a termite-infested portable classroom, and had to move my kids outside when they swarmed indoors. My pleas for help fell onto deaf administrative ears, until I finally was able to drag the superintendent inside and they massed in his hair. No roaches crawled up his leg and no mice skittered by in his presence, however, so nothing was ever done about those. I should have caught a bunch and turned them loose in his office.
