Are we talking about "normal" as far as academics? Because my kids participate in the same state testing kids in public school do and they are either average or above. Or are we talking normal as far as behavior? That is pretty subjective. Of course I don't think my kids are odd, they are my kids! I have to rely on how other parents react to my kids, and how my kids relate to others. There are a lot of homeschooling families in my state and I have never run into someone who locks their kids in their house and doesn't let them socialize like so many fear. They are all pretty well rounded kids with parents who care about their welfare and education. I know a few teachers socially, and not one of them approves of my homeschooling my children. They consider it some sort of threat to their profession. If we had a voucher system, and I could pick and choose the school and teacher my children had, I would consider putting them in school. Unfortunately, we don't have that privledge. Oh well. We can't agree on everything! Have a great day!

Now e-cards can be cool from friends who can snail mail you depending on the e-card. I sent a hysterical one to my brother for his birthday and it only took him about a week or two to open it. It annoyed me in a major fashion since I had worked harder on picking out that e-card than if I slapped a stamp on a drug store card. Also, ecards can do different things like play annoying music and animations. And they work better for some of us - like major procrastinators who need immediate delivery. There isn't any glitter though and that kind of bums me out.
