They should have more faith in your ability to tie your shoes. Kids have a way of acting up when you least need it - that's my observation anyhow. Those cards do seem to start lots of fights even though I know they are fun for them to collect. Take solace in the fact that all the money that these parents spent on these cards will probably be flushed down the toilet for all intents and purposes because the kids will want to hold onto them until the fade is past and the cards are essentially worthless. I know - there are plenty of these type of cards sitting around at my house from my son's trading card days.

I'm sorry about all your immature parents...but more importantly... if I gave you a piece of chocolate covered in garlic, you wouldn't really eat THAT, would you?

Those Pokemon Cards are banned at our school. Why don't you just take the cards from the kids and throw them out? After a couple of kids lose them, they'll stop bringing them in. Even if you see the cards and they aren't trading or whatever the heck they do...toss 'em out! Write a letter on intent to the Students and Parents first.
