Our youth pastor took four high school students to Haiti this past summer. It was such a harsh lesson in reality. The kids were elsewhere when he watched a little boy die. It changed all of their attitudes for a while. The youth pastor and the one young man are the only ones who have changed their way of thinking, the girls seem to have set aside the horror and poverty.

Funny...due to the need to take hot showers several times a day due to the back. I've given much thought along the wealth of our Country and others. (I do most deep thinking in the shower, haha) But, I thought of the wealth and the hugeness of the USA and how we forget that other Countries arent' as big as our's and how difficult it is for other countries to tolerate acceptance of others views. Example: USA = Big House, few people sharing space. IRAQ = Small house, with lots of people sharing space. I think we need to clear are heads a little an think in those terms. Not every Nation is as lucky as us.
