first off, i'm conservative. i'm very curious to know why you think gay people shouldn't be alllowed to marry. i've gone over this subject with everyone who will allow me to and i can't figure out what the downside to gay marriage is.

I think you have a typo in there because it does sound like you're anti-gay marriage. And the Clark thing. You've said it before and I didn't say anything but I have to ask: why do you say Clark was fired by Clinton? True, he disagreed publically with the Clinton administration over Bosnia. I would think that would be a plus for him (at least in conservative minds) in that it distances him from Big Bad Bill (who is the source of all evil, of course). In any case, he's a man who spoke his mind. Yes, he took a professional hit for that but I'd personally rather see that behavior from either side of the ideological fence than the mealy mouthed crap most politicians spew. Powell clearly disagrees with Rumsfeld/Bush/Cheney on serious policy issues and yet he sticks around but doesn't get called on the carpet for it. Okay, this comment is a little lengthy.

In 2008 I'd love to see Powell run for President....and suceed. <--is that spelt correct? Anyhow, this election is so clearly geared for Hilly in 2008...just thinking about her makes me want to PUKE
