Deodorant was not a popular item where and when I grew up in Germany. It is also not a popular item among fifth graders who are tethered to my desk. How do you suggest to a boy that it is time to start using deodorant? We had the killer Social Studies final today. Tears were shed, lives were ruined, and dreams collapsed under the weight of geographic, economic, historic, and agricultural academic minutia. Now I have to grade the things.
