Star Trek: the Return of the Phantom Virgin Strikes Back

October 12, 2004
This entry is going to offend you.

First, today someone called Oprah Winfrey brave because she has lost so much weight. I am sorry but using the same adjective that we use to describe the people who ensure the safety and liberty of our great republic seems absurd. If I had billions of dollars, I could loose that much weight too. Picture being woken by Richard Simmons and chased around all day and being fed by a chef who knows how to hold the carbohydrates and keep things interesting.

Christopher Reeve has valiant in his efforts to regain his health and strength, but I consider the people who fight that fight without his millions to be brave. The families that have nothing, keeping their loved ones alive by working hard and being creative are brave and honorable. I do not take away from what Christopher Reeve did because he did a great deal of good work only, someone that wealthy and famous could have done but ordinary people do extraordinary things every day. I do not thing he surpasses them in anyway, as Senator Prescott Bush is quoted in Spiderman, to whom much is given, much is expected.

Now, I am going to offend you with the Bush Family. First, of all of you who are not white, thank Senator Prescott Bush (who is dead) for the fact that you can. The civil rights legislation that President Johnson signed into law was marshaled through the Senate by Senator Bush, the Democrats you so admire opposed the legislation and Senator Byrd whom Democrats revere used the word, nigger on the Senate floor two years ago and opposed that legislation. I could go on longer but I am not going to. I just wanted to talk about Senator Bush.

Now, we come to the time when Senator John Kerry is running for President of the United States and he has many plans for the republic. This is why I am not voting for him and what he should have, could have done to win my vote. He could have shown up in the Senate and made the Republicans look bad by proposing the plans he has for the country in the Senate, having them defeated by the Republican Majority and then at least he could have said, I wanted this for our country

The fact is: he has no viable plan and what will happen when he is elected is this: those of you who believed his I will bring the troops home I will bring France and Germany to the table America will be respected, although it never really has been will be terribly disappointed BUT we will all get to live with the folly of your votes. Also, if Senator Kerry had a plan he would share it and it boils down to the fact that while he has an idea, he has nothing viable.

He can say he stands for things all day long and wants changes all day long but at the end of the day we will get, to use his own campaign mantra, More of the Lame crap he has been feeding us in the Senate which is nothing.

He has done nothing since his purple heart per month in Viet Nam. Sure, he joined a naval reserve unit that was called up. The difference for me between Senator Kerry and President Bush in Viet Nam is this: the Senators unit was called up; the Presidents unit was not. He may have been valiant in Viet Nam but the story is so old and has so many holes I am not sure it matters at this point in time.

What we have to choose from is a President who has a vision for the future and a Senator who squandered twenty years in the Senate. Not everything Bush has done has been wonderful; I do not like the war in Iraq but who does? Not even the President or the Vice-President, Halliburton, the trilateral commission, the masons, the latter day saints or even the illuminati! No one likes war. However, John Kerry and John Edwards (and I say again, flush the johns!) voted to allow everything I disagree with that Bush has done and they have not fought against those things that they disagreed with.

Senators Kerry and Edwards could have used the procedures of the Senate to block the President and forward their own agendas setting up a contrast between themselves and the President (as Bob Dole did in 1996) but I doubt they know how to do that, neither of them have bothered to show up for their jobs which says to me that they are not as interested in their work as they are in themselves. I know the President is out of Washington a great deal but you can run the republic from Air Force One, Marine One or if give the Secret Service five minutes, anywhere with a phone line they can secure. You can only participate in the Senate from the Capitol.

The only positive I can see about Senator John Kerry becoming President is this: his wife a reality TV show waiting to happen. Theresa Heinz (S)Kerry has everything people disliked about Nancy Reagan, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Lady Bird Johnson all rolled into one lunatic.

What is it with the uber-rich and their hair? Donald Trump, Bill Gates, and Theresa Heinz (S)Kerry all have enough money NOT to look bad and spend a great deal of money to look horrible. If you gave Kipp and I ten million dollars, we would come away from a month of treatments looking as if we were made by Mattel and there is nothing wrong with it. So many lasers and knives would hit us that you would think it was a really bad science fiction film or television series (ala Star Trek: the Return of the Phantom Virgin Strikes Back)

I would call Theresa Heinz (S)Kerry and Donald Trump brave for leaving the house looking so ridiculous. They should be ashamed; they are an affront to capitalism and the American way of life!
