Today one of the teachers, whose son is in my class, told the story of when her son swallowed a quarter and how she had to search his refuse for it to make sure it passed. The story was gruesome and at the end I asked her, did you keep the quarter? She replied, �No, we flushed it.� I replied, �Don�t ever let me hear you complain about our poverty again, throwing away money like that.�
