God bless you, Ralph Nader, God bless you.

I like how that mongoloid, Terry McAullife chairman of the Demorcatic National Committee, is decrying Nader as a spoiler in the election. Sure, hed hurt the eventually Democratic Nominee but lets put this into perspective there are right wing third party candidates who pull from the Republican Nominee. George H. W. Bush would have been reelected had it not been for Ross Perot just as Al Gore might have won the White House had Nader not run, George W. Bush would have gotten more votes had Buchanan not run. Hell, Al Gore would be President today if he had capitulated to recounting ALL of Florida. The Supreme Court didnt hand Bush anything, Gore did. Hes the miserable failure.

Heres the truth about what people like Ralph Nader and Ross Perot do: they get otherwise disinterested voters involved in the electoral process. They energize a marginalized part of our society and get them to the polls. The people who voted for Nader wouldnt have voted for Gore; Nader is different than Gore. Nader is a principled, intellectual liberal. Gore, and Clinton before him, is a waffling moderate who would say and do anything to get elected. Since Al Gore, III was elected to the Congress in the 1970s to his election to the Vice-Presidency he has changed his position on everything important.

The same thing goes for Perot. Conservatives and conservative leaning moderates voted for him because they were tired of the politics as usual presented by the Republican Party. George H. W. Bush left the American people dissatisfied, especially the demographic in the electorate that supported him, and that made an opening for Perot.

Im happy that Nader is running, not just because hell cancel the right wing third party pull, but because its great that someone on the left will energize the electorate. We dont need another pure politico running, we need a liberal who believes in liberalism. We need someone to bring something to the table. Its a great and patriotic duty that Ralph Nader is doing.

Heaven help me, I wrote this while listening to Alanis Morissette. I guess I can identify with her inability to write or sing.
